Submission has been one of those things that has been taken to extreme in the church. Because of this, many don’t teach on it for fear of being labeled a nut. But there is a biblical, sound truth to submission. And it needs to be taught in the church to keep people from getting into error. Submission does not mean that someone has control or run over you. It means that you voluntarily give that rule over to someone else, and first and foremost, to the Lord Jesus Christ. That means that you are not stubborn, hardheaded, or demanding to have your way in every situation. Too many people, believers included, demand to have their way or their say-so, and that is not inline with the character the Bible says a believer should have. On the contrary, submission is doing what someone else says even if it doesn’t agree with what you want to do or the way you think it should be done.
Yes, most believers believe in submission, as long as it is others who are submitting to them. But if the tables are turned, they don’t believe in submission at all. All of us need to be teachable and humble. No one knows everything. A know-it-all attitude that is unwilling to submit to anyone is dangerous to the Christian. This attitude can eventually lead to a premature death. You are unable to receive from anyone else in the body of Christ that the Lord may want to use to help you. A teachable spirit is a submissive spirit and it will save you a lot of heartache and trouble. Of course that doesn’t mean you’re submitting to someone’s opinion. You’re submitting to the Word of God and the minister of God as they are following the Spirit of God.
Submit To The Right Thing
I believe in submitting to those approved of God in the church, but not to those who will not follow the Holy Ghost. It is possible, to be a minister and yield to seducing spirits to hinder entire organizations so they will not be effective against the devil. It is possible, to be a minister and yield to your own flesh and opinions to hinder and entire church service so that the people who God wants blessed will not be. It is going on, right under many people’s noses and they don’t even know it.
Be spiritually wise as to who you listen to, and who you follow closely. It could save your life. Just because someone – minister, church, ministry or an organization has success, does not mean it is Godly success. Just because someone was following the Holy Ghost, at one time, doesn’t mean they are now. Judge whether they are in the faith or not. Don’t be a programmed robot and follow along until you lose the anointing and come to your end also.
It is scriptural to receive impartations from ministry offices to equip us. The problem arises when you follow someone, closely, that has gotten off in their ministry. If they are yielding to seducing spirits, eventually, you will too. Then you are just as deceived as they are. The number one way a devil seduces you is through someone you look up to that is already seduced. You must be led of the Spirit of God and not follow them.
Only a handful of people knew where David was tending the sheep when he was called in from the field and anointed to be King over Israel. God knew where he was. Go to the field and tend to prayer and prepare yourself to be a vessel He can use and the day will come that He will send and get you! You will be dead to the flesh, men’s accolades and programs.
Jesus learned obedience through the things that He suffered (Heb. 5:8-11). You will suffer as He leads you to the field, all alone, while others play in the flesh and party. David’s brothers were at the party, but he was out in the field alone with God. It is a lonely place in the flesh, but a glorious place in the Spirit. I beg you to go to the field of God and fall on your face before Him in prayer. Dedicate and consecrate yourself. Crucify your flesh on the cross of calvary then you will be meet for the Master’s use!
I am speaking by the Spirit of God to you. There is a Glorious move of God that must take place. Jesus will return in this move also. It has been hindered through operations of the flesh, disobedience and sin in the church. That is why some must be removed. They are walking in the flesh and hindering what God is doing. God will have His way!
The Gold Dust Phenomenon
In the late 1990’s, a lady was having a supernatural manifestation of gold-looking stuff ooze through the pores of her skin. It would appear in globs in her hair. Preachers and pastors began to promote her and said it was a miracle sign from God. I had heard of it, but I didn’t pay much attention to it. I wondered how Christians could be taken in by evil spirits so easily. I knew it was demonic.
It was around the year of 2000 when I was praying with a small group of people. We were praying for the end time move of God. Suddenly, I was in the Spirit and saw a demonic spirit on the east coast of the United States. I saw this evil spirit begin to spread across the nation from east to west. I knew it was for the purpose of deceiving the church.
I wondered what the vision meant when the Lord said to me, “The ones that stand at the forefront of what is called the gold dust movement (a woman and a man), and promoted this demon activity to the church will be removed from the scene. I have given them space to repent (Rev.2:21) for their sin and they have failed to do so.” I knew the man and woman would die because of what the Lord said. He would no longer protect them, from Satan, in their sin.
Now I know the modern day church doesn’t believe in God judging people like this. I also have friends that make fun of me and say I am wrong for saying things like this. Some say I am preaching false doctrine and putting fear into people. I know they simply don’t understand these things so I am not offended and I love them all. I was being led, by the Spirit of God, to declare this, whether anyone received it or not.
The last day move of God has been hindered by the irreverent, flesh-seeking groups in the church. They will come to nothing. They have lost the anointing like King Saul in First Samuel 15. The anointing will be placed upon others who will obey God like King David was anointed to replace Saul in First Samuel 16.
There are ministry leaders that are actually demanding that many other ministers disobey the Lord, and not be led of His Spirit, because of their influence over them. They publicly ridicule those who don’t go along with their program and plans. The ministers, who are not bold enough to obey the Holy Ghost, submit to keep from being embarrassed publicly, and to be accepted by the crowd. How would you like to be approved and accepted into the disobedient crowd because you were afraid of man?
Those who obey the disobedient are not being led by the Spirit of God. They are being led by a man or a woman. If they really listened to the Holy Ghost, they would know the people they are following would not know the Holy Ghost if He came walking down the isle with a red hat on, wearing a purple cape.
I don’t care how large a ministry they have, or how popular they are. If they aren’t following the Holy Ghost, you must not follow them. Some are spiritual enough to know it and still walk in disobedience like a dummy. I cannot understand that at all. Get on your knees and pray until you have the boldness to obey God. You won’t care what man says then. I also know that if you do not pray you will not listen to the Holy Ghost or obey God.
She Died One Week Later
I spoke out what the Lord told me in the prayer meeting about the demonic gold manifestation. One week later, to the day, the woman died. A while after that, the man died just like the Lord told me they would for their failure to repent of following demons and promoting them. It was sad that they would not repent. How could anyone be so stubborn that they would rather die than repent?
Others Deceived
Not long after this experience, I was asked to speak at a ministers gathering. I arrived a day late to the meeting because of being on the road ministering. I got in late. I decided to stay in my hotel room, the next day, and fast and pray because I was speaking to the minsters that night. They went on an outing together.
When I stood to speak, that night, the Glory of God came upon me! I preached with great unction and boldness about the gold dust being of the devil! I noticed most all of them said very little and squirmed in their seats. When I finished preaching, most all of them left the room immediately. I was told that the night before all they talked about was the gold dust. They wanted that person to come to their church and draw a crowd! They went to the same Bible School I did. They were not led of the Holy Ghost, but by seducing spirits. Instead of submitting their desires to God, they were submitting them to everything else.
Success In God
If we’re going to be a success, our church a success, our ministry a success – we have to put our opinions and our desires in submission to what God says, what His minister says. It may be hard on the flesh, but it pays to obey God. When you reach the other side, you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. We’re coming into the most glorious time the world has ever known. Don’t strive against what the Lord wants to do, get in the flow, submit to God and it’s going to be far greater than anything you could even imagine or anything you could accomplish on your own. God is with us!
