Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. – Hebrews 11:1
Reach out in faith and take what is yours. I have noticed a misunderstanding about faith, even in the faith camp, over the years. It has caused many Christians to fail to receive what the Word of God declares is theirs.
It is the present and past tense of faith. Until what you pray or say becomes present and past tense – it is not faith. The moment you pray or say you believe you receive is the very moment you have it. You are not going to get it in the future – you have it now. Then it becomes past tense from then on – you have it. Faith is the evidence of things not seen. Your faith is your evidence. If you must see it to have it, it is not faith. If you are going to get it in the future, it is not faith, it is hope.
When you stand in healing lines to get hands laid upon you – you release your faith to receive the moment hands are laid upon you. It doesn’t matter if you feel it or not – you have it. Feelings have nothing to do with receiving from God – faith does. When you stand praying and believe you receive – you have it then. That’s faith.
Find scriptures that promise you what you desire. Meditate on them and say them aloud until faith arises in you. Then pray or say them and declare you have what the Bible says. From then on – praise God that He has already given it to you, because He has, according to the Bible. Your mind, people and the devil will say you are lying, but stand firm because it is already yours!
I’m not trying to push something on you, but there is a CD message on the RGM store that covers this subject in more detail. “The Truth About Faith” can be found at www.rgm.me/Store.
