And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 16:18-19)
Many times Christians say, “I’m just waiting on God to take care of this problem.” They pray the problem and sit and wait for God to do something. They think it is all God’s responsibility and they have no part to play in it. God has already done all He is going to do. He accomplished it all through Jesus, so He is waiting on us to act. God wants you and I to exercise the dominion or authority He has delegated to us on this earth. He wants to work through us to bring all things in subjection to Him in the earth.
God Uses You And I to Defeat Satanic Power
And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. (Romans 16:20) The word bruise in this verse means, “To crush completely or break in pieces.” If you’re not scripturally and spiritually wise, you’ll get the idea that God is going to do this Himself, and you’re just going to sit back and watch. He said He’s going to bruise Satan under your feet. In others words, He’s going to do it through you. You’re not going to just sit back and observe, but you are the agent God uses to bring it about. He’s going to bruise Satan all right, but it will be under your feet, in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Will Of The People
Years ago I was praying with a group of people at a church. Suddenly, I had a vision. In this vision, I saw a demon trying to influence trying to influence one of the national leaders of this country. I commanded the demon to leave the leader alone in the name of Jesus Christ! The demon said to me, “You can’t make me leave him alone!” I said, “Yes I can, in the name of Jesus Christ!” The demon said, “No you can’t because the majority of the people of this nation want me and like me.”
I heard the voice of the Lord Jesus speak from above. He said, “The demon is right. You can’t make it leave because you do not have authority over human wills as I don’t.” I was shocked as I received this revelation! I saw the demon take control of this leader and give him power over the minds of the people of the United States. The same demon spirits that influenced the last presidential election are trying to influence the present election.
The Doubt Of Others Can Hinder You
I asked the Lord why I couldn’t make the devil stop his actions against this leader and nation by myself. I had cast out many demons out of people over the years, and stopped satanic operations in high places in Jesus’ name. He said, “You or any believer can always have what you believe in My Word and have victory over all demons in My name. When what you believe in My Word involves others, you will have to get them to believe with you or you will be hindered, not stopped, in receiving what you believe.” The Lord then related to me the story of Joshua and Caleb believing Him the first day to enter the Promised Land. They could not enter in right away because of the unbelief of the other people. They did see their faith end in sight forty years later.
What Influences You Spiritually
One of the great spiritual truths that needs to be understood is that everything and everyone has a spiritual influence directing it or them. There are only two spiritual influences on the earth. The Spirit of God and the spirit of the devil. That is why you must be wise to whom you follow, what you watch, listen to, or read. If you have a check in your spirit about something or someone, stay away from it or them. In my young Christian walk with the Lord Jesus, I desired to know Him very much, and I still do.
I consumed any teaching or listened to anyone who seemed to know more about Jesus. I knew the Holy Spirit and His leading though. I got involved with several ministry groups. One was an international, worldwide Christian ministry, and the leader was known and respected by many. They promoted me, built me up and encouraged me in my life and testimony.
This ministry offered me a job with them traveling all over the world sharing my testimony (I didn’t have any money or anything else at the time). They were going to pay me the most legal money I had ever made in my lifetime! I was so excited that I praised God over and over for this opportunity because everything sounded great! Finally, I calmed down and sensed something was not right about going in that direction.
Don’t Accept The Offer
I got down on my knees and began to pray and ask the Lord if it was His will for me to accept their offer. It took me a while to get my mind quiet from all the excitement. The Lord spoke to me and said, “Don’t accept the offer of this ministry because their motive is wrong and their doctrine is wrong. If you follow them, you will be influenced by a seducing spirit and you may never get into My will for your life. I will provide for you, and guide you.” I didn’t know that this ministry had wrong motives or believed false doctrine, but the Lord did. Later, as I matured, I saw it so clearly, and this ministry led many millions of people in the wrong direction.
There are many today who are being led in the wrong direction by things and people. If they would only listen to their spirits, much heartache and trouble would be averted. Jesus spoke to Rev. Kenneth Erwin Hagin on September 2, 1950, and said, “Many ministers live and die and never enter into the first phase of ministry that I have for them. That is why they have so many problems and die prematurely.” My Lord Jesus, may I please be one who yields to you, and follows your will for my life and ministry.
Stay With The Word
We must make the decision that we will not allow satanic influence and doctrine in the church and in our life, no matter how popular it is. Those who make the wrong choice will enter into spiritual darkness and be deceived. Those who make the right choice will enter into great light and revelation of the Lord. Be led by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit who agrees with the Word. God is with us!
