Many people in today’s society have a self-centered attitude. Many wonder ‘what are you going to give me?’ Even in politics, it has become about ‘what is this person going to give me?’ Whole campaigns are based on that. For those who know the Word of God though, we understand that there isn’t anything for free. Yes, Jesus paid the price and salvation is a free gift, but it isn’t free. It cost something. The promises of God are free to us, but there is something that we have to do. Many times when people go to college and get a scholarship, people think that those people get a free ride. They look at them and think that everything is paid for and how lucky they are. But they never see everything that the person had to do to get that scholarship.
