Word & Spirit: New Things Spring Forth took place March 27-29, 2012 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The meeting started out Tuesday night with Rev. Grier speaking on Biblical mental health – renewing your mind to the Word of God. Until your mind and thinking get straightened out, it doesn’t matter how anointed you are, you’re going to crash. Without your mind being renewed to the Word of God, Satan will set a ceiling on your life that will keep you from accomplishing all God has for you.
Throughout the meeting, Rev. Grier spoke on the need to renew your mind. Dr. Kenneth E Hagin said that this was the most important thing that the church needed. Your thinking will limit the power of God in your life. If your thinking is not right because of the influence of Satan and this world, then you will be limited.
During the morning sessions, Rev. Grier spoke on Blow the Trumpet in Zion – what the Lord is doing today.
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; (Joel 2:1 KJV)
God is wanting His people to develop the character of God in their lives. The one thing that is missing from the people of God, that is keeping God from being able to do what He wants to do in the earth – is the character of God. During the morning sessions, he also spoke on prayer, the ministry gifts and the gifts of the spirit.
Wednesday night the Holy Spirit moved and hands were laid upon those in attendance. People were healed, anointings were imparted, and all those in attendance were blessed.
