ILLUSTRATION OF DEALING WITH EVIL SPIRITS
On June 30, 2005, I was praying with others for the outpouring of the Spirit of God to take place in our nation. Suddenly, I had a vision and I was standing in the Supreme Court of the United States. I looked around and didn’t see any people, only empty seats and furniture. I was standing in front of the bench where the nine Justices sit. I saw movement out of my left eye up on the bench and turned to look, expecting to see a Supreme Court Judge. I was shocked to see a large demonic creature sitting there.
The Spirit of God came on me and I commanded it to come down and leave in the name of Jesus Christ! The demon began to shake in fear and jumped down. It was on the floor right in front of me and I said, “I command you to leave the Supreme Court right now, in the name of Jesus Christ!” It took off running down the aisle and when it got to the door, the demon ran right through it and left. You and I have authority over all demonic power but we must exercise it in the name of Jesus Christ. When we do the devil has to obey us.
The vision was over but I was still in the Spirit and received a revelation about two Supreme Court Justices that would leave their positions. I knew there would be a woman and a man that would leave. I spoke that out during this time of prayer. The very next day, July 1, 2005, Justice Sandra Day O’Conner, announced her intention to retire effective upon the confirmation of a successor. A few months later, Justice William Rehnquist passed away on September 3, 2005. The Lord knows all things and will reveal them to us as we seek Him in prayer. During this prayer time, I understood how important it was to pray for the Supreme Court of the United States and to pray for the correct person to be appointed to that position. I have had these experiences from time to time over the years as the Spirit of God led me to deal with demonic powers.
THE BODY OF CHRIST
Things are not all right in the Body of Christ as a whole. I don’t care who says so. A person who believes that wouldn’t know the Holy Ghost if He came walking down the isle with a red hat on, turning cartwheels! The Church is over run with compromisers of the Bible, false doctrine, seducing spirits, idol worshippers, drug addicts, drunkards, homosexuals, lesbians, porn, fornication, adultery, lust filled saints, embezzlement, sin and the devil. Yes, I agree we are to reach people like that, but we are not to call them born-again, sanctified Christians and tell them they are fine. If they look like the devil, smell like the devil and act like the devil – they are the devil!
Now Brother Randy, you shouldn’t say things like that, you might hurt their feelings. You can slide right into hell on the sliding board of grace. Hell is still as real as when the rich man lifted up his eyes in hell, tormented in the flames. If we don’t want people to go to hell, we had better quit pampering them and tell them to repent. They have to get right with God through the act of repentance. I do believe in restoring saints that have fell into sin in a spirit of meekness but much of this could be deterred through sound Biblical preaching and teaching on what sin is and the reality of hell.
MINISTERS AND SHEPHERDS LACK SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING
His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. (Isaiah 56:10-11)
It starts at the pulpit in the church. Some ministers are spiritually blind, ignorant, dumb, sleeping, slumbering, and greedy dogs, shepherds that cannot understand, looking out for themselves and their gain only. Prayer is a lost art and some haven’t had a clear fresh Word from God in a long time. Some are so caught up in natural things and mans plans that they have no time for God. I believe others just simply don’t understand that Jesus Christ is the head of the church and He wants His will to be carried out. It takes dedication, crucifying the flesh and a willing minister to take time to pray long enough to hear His voice speaking to their spirit. A minister could have a 10,000-member church or an international ministry and be out of the will of God because man built it.
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. (Psalm 127:1)
This was Dad Hagin’s keynote verse for his life and ministry and he taught us to make sure we let the Lord build our ministry or church, not ourselves. I realize, that some thought he was a washed up old fogey in his latter years and didn’t respect him because he preached things that corrected false doctrine. When he moved to heaven, some said that era was over and we didn’t have to follow what he taught us anymore. They will be greatly surprised and shocked when they stand before Jesus and He rebukes them for their disobedience. Dad Hagin was an Apostle and Prophet to his entire generation on the same level of Moses who knew the Lord face to face. No one went into the Promised Land who did not obey the teachings of Moses. No one will enter the Spiritual Promised Land today who does not adhere to the teachings of Dad Hagin.
When you don’t have enough of God’s Power to blow the devil out of your life, you won’t make him leave anyone else alone either. Hence, you have all the above listed sin in the church. There are many anointed men and women of God that follow Him, but they are out numbered by those who don’t.
The Prophet Elijah had to confront all the 450 prophets of Baal (1Kings 18:19) by himself, naturally speaking. The Lord God was with him and he killed them all. There is a show down today between the prophets of Baal and the true ministers of the Lord God. The Lord is stirring up the spirits of his ministers to confront the powers of darkness that have operated against His church.
THE GREATEST PROBLEM IN THE CHURCH TODAY
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. (Ephesians 4:11-14)
The greatest problem, “Above all else,” that the church has today is most Christians never have all the five ministry gifts listed above imparting spiritual truths and anointings to them. What will all five, not one or two ministry gifts, accomplish in the church? They will perfect the saints, set the church in their work of the ministry, edify the body of Christ, bring unity around true doctrine, impart the knowledge of Christ to bring the church to perfection, stop every false wind of doctrine blowing though the church and banish false deceivers that are crafty and call themselves the ministers of Christ. That is what the Bible states; forget man’s opinions and ideas.
No, I am not saying the local church has to have the five ministry gifts governing it. It is governed by the pastor, but if the local church does not receive the anointings and spiritual truths of all the ministry gifts they will get lopsided spiritually, and even into spiritual error and false doctrine. They have to invite these ministry gifts into the church and let them stand in the office they are called to. They will preach, teach and operate different from the office of the pastor because they are supposed to.
Every believer needs to be a member of a good local church and have a pastor. Chocolate cake is good, but if you eat it all the time, or any one food, it will make you sick in your physical body. Malnutrition will set in and you will die prematurely. It works the same way spiritually. We need some collard and turnip greens, ham hocks and black-eyed peas, crackling cornbread, chicken, steak and hot sauce to spice things up, proteins and salads along with the chocolate cake to develop properly.
We need the ministry of the apostle, prophet and evangelist as well as the pastor and teacher. You get spiritual truths and anointing from each gift that you can’t get any other way, or the Bible is not true. Satan causes havoc in the church without all the ministry gifts in operation. Lets join in prayer that all the ministry gifts and gifts of the Spirit will be in operation. I know His perfect will is taking place in the lives of those who will seek Him. (end)
