A few weeks ago I was seeking the Lord in prayer because I have such a hunger in my spirit to experience His Glory on a higher level. In fact, the Lord had dealt with me over a period of several weeks with a scripture in Revelation. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Rev. 3:20) During this seeking time, which I still continue, the Lord gave me revelation about the latter-day outpouring of His Spirit.
THE SPIRIT OF GOD ONLY OCCUPIES WHAT HE DESIGNS
God told Moses to build the Tabernacle, only, according to the pattern shown him when he was on the mountain in the presence of God. It was not Moses’ plan but God’s. Solomon built the Temple according to the pattern/plan that God had given his father, King David. Solomon did not come up with his own design. When Moses and Solomon obeyed and built according to the Heavenly Pattern, God occupied the Tabernacle and the Temple with His Spirit and Glory.
***Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle:for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. (Hebrews 8:5 – See also: Acts 7:44, Exodus 25:8-9, 1Chronicles 28:11-12)
JESUS CHRIST APPEARS TO DAD HAGIN AND GAVE HIM THE PATTERN
Jesus Christ appeared to Dad Hagin on July 16, 1987, and said, “I bless all of My people as far as I can. But the reason there is not the move of God and the depth of the flow of the Spirit, and the fullness of the manifestation of the Holy Ghost today is because men do not take time to hear from Me. And they do not take time to follow My plan set forth in the scriptures. The more closely you follow My plan, the more My power will be in demonstration and in manifestation. Many times, the reason people fail and the reason ministries fail is because they have the wrong plan, purpose, and motive. Whatever you are doing for God, ask yourself, Is this God’s plan?”
APOSTLE PAUL SAYS OLD TESTAMENT WRITTEN FOR EXAMPLES TODAY
Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples:and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. (1Corinthians 10:11)
There are types in the Old Testament that have a new testament application. All the writers of the New Testament were inspired by revelation they received from the Old Testament.
THE LORD REVEALED TYPES FROM ELIJAH FOR TODAYS OUTPOURING
Elijah is mentioned 30 times in the New Testament. He and Enoch were two in the Old Testament who never died, but were caught up to heaven. Elijah, along with Moses appeared with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration, and Peter, James and John saw him. I believe the Lord has shown me a pattern for the spiritual outpouring from a series of events in Elijah’s day in 1 Kings chapter 18.
TYPES FROM 1 KINGS 18
And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth. (1Kings 18:1)
***Elijah declared 3 1/2 years earlier that there would be no rain but according to his word. This was judgment on Israel for turning away from God and worshipping idols at the direction of false prophets, overseen by King Ahab and his wife Jezebel. NOW God was about to call a show down with the false prophets and bring His people back to him. Elijah, only acted at the direction/pattern/plan of God. It was not his idea. Rain would come at the direction of God, but at the command of Elijah. Man must ask for the rain or outpouring.
OUR DAY: A spiritual drought (judgment) has been upon our land for several years because false prophets have declared we no longer worship the Lord our God like the Bible states. Idols have been brought into the church to replace the Spirit of God. Reverence for God has almost become a thing of the past. Consecration to God has been lost and now God is just a sidekick, buddy or uppie. Many have forgotten He is the Lord our God, not our buddy. Morals and values from God’s Word have been forsaken because false prophets have preached it, people believe it, and like it. Sadly, many think the new way is God’s way and promote it further as darkness overtakes the church and nation. Just look around. Many play games, while the church slips further into darkness and the world speeds, quickly, closer to hell. There seems to be no concept of what the Lord is saying and doing in the earth. Thank God, help is on the way from heaven.
KING AHAB BLAMES ELIJAH FOR THE FAMINE IN THE LAND
**And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim. (1Kings 18:17-18)
God had given the people 3 1/2 years to repent of their sin but false prophets had told them there was no need and the lack of rain/famine/judgment was not their fault at all. King Ahab and the people were so deceived they blamed their judgment/sin on Elijah, the prophet of God.
OUR DAY: People are told all is well and no repentance is required. The only thing that can turn back judgment is repentance. All the violence, governmental gridlock, financial problems and falling away from the Bible and church is caused by a lack of repentance for listening to false prophets who tell us everything is fine, just be happy. True joy comes from taking up our cross daily with the Lord Jesus Christ. False doctrine has greatly infiltrated the church world today. Thank God the Holy Ghost rain is falling.
PEOPLE DID NOT KNOW WHO GOD WAS – FALSE PROPHETS INFLUENCED THEM
**And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him:but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. (1Kings 18:21)
The people did not know who God was – And the people answered him not a word. They were deceived because of false prophets that had taken over the land preaching false doctrine.
OUR DAY: There are many opinions (mans ideas) being taught about who Jesus Christ is in our day, to the point that people don’t know the true Jesus of the Bible.
ELIJAH WAS THE ONLY PROPHET WHO CONFRONTED FALSE PROPHETS
**Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. (1Kings 18:22)
++There was a total of 850 false prophets that Elijah stood against. He was the only Prophet of God that preached the truth and confronted false prophets. There were other prophets of God, but they were afraid and hid in caves. They were especially afraid of Jezebel.
OUR DAY: It almost seems that false prophets and false doctrines are 850 to 1 prophet of God today across the land. The Jezebel spirit of fear motivates many and they won’t speak out against the false doctrine. Many fear they want be popular anymore, loose the crowd or the money. Thank God for the outpouring of the Holy Ghost and boldness!
ELIJAH REPAIRED THE BROKEN ALTAR – WE MUST DO THE SAME
**And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down. (1Kings 18:30)
OUR DAY: Elijah repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down. Ministers today must repair the altar and seek the Lord in prayer. He followed the instructions in God’s Word for his day and we must do the same for our day. The church, without prayer, has lost its way and will walk in darkness as the people did in Elijah’s day.
ELIJAH KILLED THE SACRIFICE AND LAID IT ON THE ALTAR
Elijah took the bull and killed it and placed it upon the altar. The blood was shed and the bull was dead.
OUR DAY: We need to kill the bull in our lives. We cut off any and everything that will keep us from being a living sacrifice for the Lord Jesus Christ. We should desire God more than anything else in this life. Until we do, the fire will not fall on us personally. Jesus Christ wept over Jerusalem because they missed the time of their visitation. I refuse to miss what the Lord is doing in the earth today and I will be right in the middle of it. Dad hagin prophesied that I would several times, but that is not the only reason. I am determined to seek Him for His perfect will and plan as a living sacrifice. We will never please God, or have favor with Him, today from a past experience we have had. We must continually be being filled with the Holy Ghost.
ELIJAH PRAYS 63 WORDS AND THE FIRE FELL FROM HEAVEN
(1Kings 18:36) – And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
Elijah had been seeking the Lord for 3 1/2 years before this event took place. He walked with God and obeyed his word. The fire fell at God’s direction but it was Elijah that gave the command. Elijah had to hear the voice of God to obey. The people repented and turned back to God.
OUR DAY: The fire does not fall, today, because the plan/pattern of God is not followed. Elijah did not just think up what he was going to do and ask God to bless it. He was obeying what the Lord said for him to do. If we do not stop and wait on the Lord Jesus, in prayer, and get His plan we will live and die and never please or obey God.
FALSE PROPHETS/DOCTRINES WERE JUDGED AND DESTROYED
(1Kings 18:40) – And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them:and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.
OUR DAY: False doctrine is being judged today and will be removed, especially doctrines that are leading large numbers of people away from the, rightly divided, truth of God’s Word.
ELIJAH HEARD, IN THE SPIRIT, THE SOUND OF RAIN – DO YOU HEAR IT
(1Kings 18:41) – And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.
OUR DAY: The Spirit of God is leading us to pray for the rain of the Holy Ghost today so He can do what He wants to do in the church and world. We yield to His Spirit and spend much extra time in prayer and fasting and the Holy Ghost rain will fall.
ELIJAH KNEW WHAT GOD WANTED TO DO AND SOUGHT IT IN PRAYER
(1Kings 18:42) – So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees.
OUR DAY: We must follow God’s plans/pattern, not ours. It was the will of God that the rain fall, but Elijah still had to pray and seek God for it to come. He prayed earnestly for it and it wasn’t just a prayer that lasted a minute. It was continued prayer until the rain came. This is our pattern. We keep interceding until the Holy Ghost rain falls on the earth.
ANOINTING OF GOD GAVE ELIJAH ABILITY
(1Kings 18:46) – And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.
OUR DAY: The church will run, because the time is short, in this Holy Ghost Rain and anointing. The book of Acts will be multiplied many times over and the end shall come. He is coming for His Glorious church. Follow the Heavenly Pattern and plan.
