Joshua Knew What To Do. He arose early in the morning and went after God. If you’re going to go into the Spiritual Promised land today, you’re going to have to rise and go after God. You’re going to have to pay a price. Dad Hagin has a book called “Must Christians Suffer”, and I know that’s a cuss word today, but that’s a good book to get a hold of. Do Christians suffer from sickness and disease? No! However, there is a price to pay. It’s hard on the flesh. Sometimes, if you want to go after the things of God, you have to pay the price and it is hard on the flesh to walk out God’s will.
Dr. Hagin said that the only key to success he ever found in all his years of ministry was to find out God’s will, and to do it. God would show him something to do, he would do it, and it would work supernaturally. In fact, that’s how the men and women of God throughout history were a success. They went to prayer, found out what God wanted them to do, and they did it.
It doesn’t just work for them. It will work for all of us. The very first principle you can learn from Joshua is that you need to get up and go after God. He’s not going to come after us. The only way that you’re going to change this natural, material world is in the spirit. Everything in the natural, material world is influenced by the spiritual realm.
If you put your head down and run after God, you’re going to run into Him after awhile. That is your answer. He has the answer to every question. He has a solution to every problem. Many times we want to go everywhere else, and exhaust every other avenue, have somebody else do it for us, have somebody else prophesy to us. Many times we want to get a book, we want to go get a CD, we want to go watch this video. I’m not knocking those things, but first and foremost, we need to be saying, “give me Jesus.” When we run after Him, and we build a relationship with Him, we’re going to see supernatural miracles. We’re going to get the answers to our questions; we’re going to get the solutions to our problems.
The key thing that we need to learn is to go to God in prayer and do what He says. We need to go after God and get His help because He is the one with all the answers.
