The Lord allows us to be in situations that will teach us humility. Moses was taken from a basket, in the river, to be trained by God. He went to the back side of the desert, herding sheep for forty years. The Lord chose him to be a leader of His people, after he learned the lesson of humility. Moses was rejected by his own people but the Lord still called him to be their leader.
Throughout the Bible, God sent His prophets and ministers to his people with a message. Most all of them were rejected by the very people God sent them to. Rejection from others does not mean you are not sent by God. Have faith, smile, laugh and praise God for the victory, for surely He is with you!
The leaders of the people of God are never chosen by man. The Lord Jesus Christ chooses those He has trained, qualified and equipped. The one to be chosen and called King David, learned humility as a Shepherd. When all his brothers were called to eat with the Prophet, he did not leave his job. He stayed where he was told and learned humility. The Lord called him when all his family considered him unworthy. He became King David through a path of humility.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, was rejected by society, but she was called by our Father God because she had learned a lesson of humility. Apostle Paul considered everything loss except for the knowledge of Jesus Christ. His humility was the key to his success.
Jesus Christ was born in what I call a barn, but He was King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death on the cross.
The world tells us to scratch, claw, push, shove and fight our way to the top. The way up in God is always down. Don’t push your way anywhere, let God place you where you need to be.
Humility, is accepting the fact that you are nothing and cannot do anything without the anointing and ability of God upon you. Without Him you can do nothing. No flesh will be able to glory in His presence.
