Great Is Thy Faithfulness

November 16, 2021 By Rev. Randall Grier

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. (Lamentations 3:21-26)

The Lord has been reminding me of his mercies, compassion and faithfulness. I know our nation is in turmoil and confusion, political, social, spiritual and financial unrest right now. A world-wide pandemic is upon the nations of the earth, and fear abounds. World leaders don’t know what to do and others have no answer to all the problems they face.

I would like to assure the Christian who seeks the Lord, and waits upon Him, that they have nothing to fear. Remember when the children of God were in Egypt when all the evil was taking place. They were dwelling in the land of Goshen and did not experience the evil that came upon those outside of the land of Goshen. In Joshua 10:12-13, Joshua prayed and the Sun and Moon stood still in the sky, because God honored his prayers. Peter was in jail and God sent an angel and got him out. Paul and Silas were in jail and God shook the jail and opened all the doors. That is the God we serve and He will take care of you, so praise and thank Him for His faithfulness to do so!

I remember one time, before all this modern weather reporting equipment in aircraft, I was flying along to a meeting. I was in a little single engine, low-powered airplane. I had another preacher flying with me. We were flying in clouds and suddenly, I flew into a severe thunderstorm with strong updrafts and downdrafts. The air traffic controller contacted me on the aircraft radio and told me no other aircraft had been able to penetrate that storm because it was so severe. Too late! I had already done so! Fear tried to grip me and I turned to the preacher beside me and asked if he could believe God with me for us to get out of the storm? He said, “Do I have to?!” Ha! I said yes! We prayed like we had never prayed before, and by the way, you would have to! We prayed and in less than thirty-seconds, we flew into a clear blue sky! Lighting was flashing and popping off our left and right wings and we could see hail the size of golf balls falling, but the sun was shining on us! We were praising and glorifying God for His faithfulness as we flew safely in the mist of the storm! That is the God you serve and He will take care of you. Do not fear. Praise and thank God!

About Rev. Randall Grier

Rev. Randall Grier answered the call of the Lord Jesus to preach the Gospel while on his third escape from prison in May of 1982. Rev. Grier surrendered to the call of God and turned himself in to the authorities. While praying out behind the prison on April 5, 1984, he had a supernatural experience with Jesus. Jesus said, “I am anointing you today to begin to enter into the ministry I have called you to and nations and countries will be changed through this anointing.” That very day Rev. Grier entered into a powerful anointing to set the captive free. He was released from prison on August 27, 1984 after being told he would be released in the month of 'none' - all by a miracle of God!
