The Devil Is No Big Deal Part 3

 Since the fall of man, the devil has spent much time and energy trying to convince humanity that he is more powerful than God. Even since Jesus came and paid for our redemption, he has spent much time trying to convince Christians that he has more power than them. That is a lie. He is the father of lies.

Many Christians have bought into this lie and believe that they should cower and be afraid of the devil. Many people tell others, “Quiet before the devil hears you.” No. Let the devil hear you. Make sure he hears you.

The devil is a liar. Jesus Christ not only paid the price for our redemption, but has given us His authority – authority over the devil. This message is a biblical reminder of our authority over the devil and demonic powers. It is also a reminder of just how powerless the devil is.

Rev. Randall Grier answered the call of the Lord Jesus to preach the Gospel while on his third escape from prison in May of 1982. Rev. Grier surrendered to the call of God and turned himself in to the authorities. While praying out behind the prison on April 5, 1984, he had a supernatural experience with Jesus. Jesus said, “I am anointing you today to begin to enter into the ministry I have called you to and nations and countries will be changed through this anointing.” That very day Rev. Grier entered into a powerful anointing to set the captive free. He was released from prison on August 27, 1984 after being told he would be released in the month of 'none' - all by a miracle of God!
