In 2007, the Lord spoke to me and said, “I have been trying to get My church to walk in the revelation I gave Kenneth E. Hagin in 1987.” That was 2007. Today, we are in 2024. That’s 37 years. For 37 years, Jesus had been pleading with His people to obey Him. The Lord is long suffering.
Jesus Christ has been trying to get the church to practice the revelation of Plans, Purposes and Pursuits that He gave to Dad Hagin in 1987. During Dad Hagin’s three-hour visitation with Jesus in 1987, the Lord gave the church directions, instructions, and the plan to get us to the last great revival that will bring back the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dad Hagin was asked, “What did Jesus emphasize the most during His three-hour visitation with you?” What Jesus emphasized the most was His plan under the New Covenant is for every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit. In the Old Testament, only certain individuals, like prophets, priests, and kings, were anointed with the Holy Spirit, but in the New Covenant, every believer can have the Holy Spirit residing within them. That is God’s desire for His children. Ephesians 5:18-19 says, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”
To be led by His Spirit and yield to His gifts and anointings was the top priority. Honoring the Holy Spirit is the key to having manifestations of His glory in the church. There are many churches today that won’t reverence the Holy Spirit. They don’t want Him in their services. They want their plan and their ideas to be at the forefront of services, and it shows. There’s no power, no anointing. It’s dry, and the people leave just like they came—unchanged. This is not the desire of the Lord. The Lord wants to bless Him people, but He’s not going to force it on anyone.
Praying prior to the service and finding out what the Lord wants to do is the only way to please Him. What man esteems most is unacceptable in the eyes of the Lord Jesus Christ. The house of the Lord should be called the house of prayer. This is the doorway into the realm of the Spirit, where God dwells. If we’re going to please God, see Him move, and see things change, then we have to get out of our own way and let God have His way.
Substituting brass for gold is the problem in the modern-day church. When we bring in our plans and ideas instead of what God wants to says, we are limiting what He can do in our lives and in our services. Learning the boundaries the Holy Ghost operates within and implementing them will bring great power into the church. Instead of doing what we think should be done, let us take time to seek the Lord and see what He says we should do. Let us measure everything by what the Word says, not what culture says. May we all lay aside anything that displeases Him. God is with us!
